Being an older gentleman, over the years I've learned how to train the body to move easier, faster and more efficient. Im going to help you learn to use less energy and still generate enough power and explosiveness to be effective. I train by 1st (stretching) then practice form, technique, repetition and multiple styles of offense and defense, with a secondary focus on de-escalation. I use different equipment like as jump ropes, digital weighted jump ropes, mits, paddles, a (ground)ladder and chest protector on different days throughout the month combining elements as you progress.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Take it slow... See what their energy & comfort level is and teach them the fundamentals... the names of defenses, defensive moves and how they translate in the ring vs real world combat situations. Most importantly I try to stress the importance of defusing a fight or potentially dangerous situation... 1st and foremost & hopefully with humor of they can... which transcends race, nationality and beliefs
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been training off and on, in various gyms around the toledo area since 18 & I'm Now 42. So I've gained knowledge and tactics from a wealth of different trainers... I also am still training and competing... Your never too old or too experienced to learn something new... Prior military (honorably discharged)

$25 per session. I provide some gear with that cost. Usually 2 - 3 sessions a wk... 3rd session is free!
How did you get started teaching?
I've been a fan of boxing since a youth, it was 1 of the reasons my family would gather and enjoy each others time and company.
