Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A complete body assement to see the areas that need to be worked on. Talking about goal poses and then devising a plan the will lead to the acheivement of the goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
8 years of yoga instruction along with my 200 hour yoga teacher training.
I am currently finishing up my bachelors degree in body mechanics.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have several options for new clients:
1:1 private coaching is $50 per session.
Semi private online coaching is $20. The group is capped at 8 individuals so that everyone is coached.
Online classes: $15.
How did you get started teaching?
I had always suffered from lower back pain, herniated disks and sciatica. I began taking yoga classes and saw a great level of improvement.
This sparked my passion to help others feel good in their bodies. I began my yoga teacher training and slowly progressed in contortion over the years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students of all ages and levels.
I have beginner contortionists that are in their late 50s, advanced ballerinas from the age 7 and up looking to gain more strength and flexibility and students that are looking to grow their back flexibility.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for credentials. Most flexibility and contortion instructors have no qualifications. That will lead to injury and damage.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are their goals.
