About
Hi, I'm Johnny Cattini! I'm a singer, songwriter, producer, and lead guitarist with over a decade of experience in the music world. I’ve had the pleasure of recording with some incredible artists, touring with top musicians, and running my own studio in East Nashville—Johnny’s Place Studios. But beyond all that, my true passion is connecting with students and helping them unlock their potential on their musical journey.
I like to keep things fun, relaxed, and, most importantly, focused on what you want to get out of your lessons. My background at Berklee College of Music (where I studied guitar performance and music production) means I’ve got a solid foundation in both theory and technique, but I keep things approachable. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been playing for years, I’ll tailor our sessions to match your goals and interests. If you’re excited about a particular song or artist, we’ll use that as a jumping-off point to dive into theory, technique, and all the cool stuff that makes music tick—without ever getting bogged down or bored. Learning should be as exciting as the music itself!
I take the time to get to know each of my students, understand what excites them, and then work together to make it happen. The lessons are all about you—your style, your voice, your musical ideas. I’m here to guide you, but I’m also here to learn from you.
With years of experience working with artists in the studio and on stage (from intimate shows in Nashville to tours across North America and the UK), I bring a mix of real-world expertise and creative energy to every lesson. So, whether you want to focus on guitar, songwriting, or even dive into the nuts and bolts of music production, I’ve got the knowledge to guide you. Let's have some fun.
