I assess the student's technique and level of such musical skills as note reading, theory, ear training and more, all without putting them in an uncomfortable performance situation. The first lesson is the beginning of a relaxed and supportive relationship. A guitar lesson with me might entail the following: We begin with what you come in with each week and let it unfold as is called for. I always keep your goals in mind as well as my commitment to your growing level of musicianship. This means we will work on a variety of things (songs, technique, ear training and such) in any given lesson.
