Tony Morris
About
I was professor of guitar at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, TX (2006-2011), where I taught individual private lessons and classes to beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. I also perform and record as a drummer.
I frequently perform as a solo guitarist and with other musicians at Austin area hospitals as part of a Music In Medicine program. I recently recorded 10 drum tracks for an EP by Wilson County, a folk/Americana group in Seguin.
I also host the nationally-syndicated radio program, Classical Guitar Alive!, which airs locally on 89.5FM KMFA radio, Sundays at Noon, and Thursday nights at 9:00pm.
Teaching guitar is sometimes like being a parent who watches their child unwrap a beautiful gift. And in the case of music, it is a gift that the student can enjoy their entire life.
