What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am an organic teacher. I don't teach out of a single book, but rather focus on a wholistic approach to chords, scales, and technique, in a way that speaks to your desire to improv and make your own music. I guide through listening to the unique voice that wants to come through you, and also can do voice coaching. It's a process of getting to know eachother. So that I can also help you in production and recording if you like.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing guitar for 13 years. Studied college level music theory. Explored many genres. Multi-instrumentals; synths, hand drums, base, wooden flutes. Played in orchestra a couple years. Active singer and independent musician. Have explored the ins and outs of improv and creative process, tracked that to personal development as well. Also years of recording training and understanding of self-production and self-publishing.
