Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
On the first lesson, the instructor will meet one-on-one with the student to plan a path of study and a personalized music curriculum.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All Dallas Music Academy instructors have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in music from an accredited college/university.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tuition is a flat rate each month. The monthly tuition includes 4 lessons per month on average. We say average because some months will have 5 lessons and we don't charge extra for the extra lesson and some months have 3 lessons and we don't decrease the tuition. Tuition was calculated with the whole year in mind and then we divide it in 12 equal payments
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and all levels! This includes children, teenagers, adults, and retirees. We have students who have preparing to audition to advance programs. We also have students who learn to play an instrument for stress relief and for fun!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A year from now, you would have wished to have started a year ago. When you join now, you’re investing in more than music lessons—you’re embracing a transformative journey towards personal fulfillment. Don’t wait for the perfect moment to come along, let today be the day you take control of your growth. A year from now, you’ll be grateful you made the choice today!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure that you pick a teacher that make you become the musician that YOU want to be, not the one that they think you should be.
