My services stand out because I take a different approach to the game of football as well as preparation. I played through college and have coached for a decade. I bring a balance of pose, intensity but still keep it fun. You will learn something new every lesson and become better as a person. I weave life stories/lessons in my training that are relatable and able to translate to the field. I enjoy the growth aspect of the participant/student. Watching them improve and get better is a really awesome feeling seeing their confidence build and them evolving into the player they have dreamed about.

Kungfu P. says, "Training here has been a really rewarding experience. Classes are extremely dynamic and presents a physical challenge at varying levels depending on the student. I lost 60lbs during my time training here. This school differentiates itself from other schools in the way that the methods and techniques that are provided are presented in a scientific fashion. You can tell just from our white belt techniques that the punches and kicks being taught utilize the body in an extremely leveraged way to deliver maximum power in the fastest and most precise manner. No youtube videos, or other classes and training gyms I've attended come close to the way combat science, theory, training, and philosophy is taught here. Extreme emphasis on practicality. Discipline and etiquette is expected. Cultivation of mind and spirit is the ultimate aim." Read more

Your Yoga Classes questions, answered

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Lessons.com.

How much do yoga classes cost?

Single group sessions at yoga studios cost $15 to $20 on average. For private yoga training, you will likely spend between $30 and $70 on each lesson. Yoga classes mostly take place in a group setting, and the price per class depends on the location, yoga teacher’s knowledge and experience, and years of teaching.

How long is a yoga class?

On average, a yoga class is 75 to 90 minutes long. Many instructors say 90 minutes is simply how long it takes to pace through all the sacred yoga asanas, but a new shorter 60 minute class is quickly becoming popular with students.

What to wear to yoga class?

Most women prefer to wear tank tops or a sports bra that's made of a cotton and lycra (spandex) blend when they do yoga. Loose tee shirts and underwire bras are usually a no-no because they have a tendency to get in the way of movement.

For the bottoms, most women prefer to wear tights. These comfortable and stretchable pants will provide you with a full range of movement and allow your instructor to check your alignment. For slower-paced classes, you may be able to pull off wearing long skirts or stretchable harlem pants.

What to bring to yoga class?

Although many necessities are usually provided for you, there are a few things you may still want to bring yourself.

Here's what to bring to yoga class:

  1. Comfortable yoga attire
  2. Water bottle
  3. Hand towel
  4. Yoga mat
  5. Change of clothes
  6. Post-yoga snack

How often should you do yoga?

For those who are already quite active, doing yoga at least once or twice per week is recommended. For experienced practitioners, doing yoga every day is not uncommon. However, if you begin to be sore, consider taking a day or two off. Even if you only do you for one hour a week, you will experience the benefits of the practice.

How long does it take to get good at yoga?

There are many beginner yoga poses and sequences that you can get good at in your first yoga class. On a more spiritual level, it may take a lifetime to find the union between mind, body and spirit. You should expect to practice regularly for about six months before you feel confident that you can perform fundamental poses steadily and with some degree of proper form.

My 10 year son picked up a basketball for the first time about a year and a half ago. Quickly he realized he had a love for the game and wanted to be the best. He played on a competitive team but found that he struggled to keep up with the other kids. I started looking for a trainer to help my son improve, and we found Coach Cord. They have been working out together for 4 months now and I have seen a drastic improvement in my son’s basketball abilities and in his confidence on the court. Cord is awesome for so many reasons! First, he believes in my son and is one of his biggest supporters. In turn, my son adores him. Second, he pours his heart into what he does, and it shows through his patience, humor, and passion on the court. He has a way of meeting my son at his level, while still teaching him the importance of what he is learning. Cord recognizes when my son isn’t fully engaged in a drill and works to pull out his 110% effort. Cord’s schedule is very flexible, so it’s easy to get a session in even when we are very busy! I highly, wholeheartedly recommend Cord!

Bethany is one of the few yoga instructors that I felt like makes you feel completely at ease no matter what level of yoga you are at, yet still gently encourages you to challenge yourself. If you want to learn how to actually incorporate yoga practice into your lifestyle, Bethany is the best teacher for that.

Tomorrow is very clear when going through the movements and makes sure everyone is comfortable with being adjusted before doing so. Her pacing is great, and her tone and demeanor are calming. I’ve gone to every one of her classes. I really enjoy her style and technique.
