N-Tune Music And Sound
About
I love people and once you become my student you are bascially family to me. I don't give up on the students and I want them to have fun. I set the students up on a plan for each week so they have something to practice and learn before the next session.
I love seeing the students face light up when they play a song for the first time. I get to make new friends and I get to help start a hobby that might even turn into a career.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to see what level they are from beginner to intermediate. I will start them on a series of exercises and once I believe they can handle those we will start learning chords. I will use those chords that we have learned and teach them a song that uses those exact chords. Music theory is a big part of lessons but I don't want to scare the student right from the beginning. I will bring in theory as a small part of each lesson until I believe they understand and can handle more.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played guitar since I was in the 5th grade. I have played with several groups over the years. I play guitar on the mid-cities worship team. I took classical guitar over at Odessa College for 2 years.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at a friend of mines school of music. I wanted to have a way to play my guitar as much as I could. Once I started teaching it just came natural to me. I would love for the music scene here in Midland, TX to get bigger and bigger. The more kids learning an instrument will hopefully have them starting a band.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types. I get kids as young as 7 all the way up to adults in their 70's. People want to just learn the guitar and some want to just learn songs. I try to teach what they want as well as laying down the guitar fundamentals.
