About
We are a performance based music program, so young musicians come in once a week for a private lesson (or have the option of a remote private lesson) then apply what they learn in that lesson to a once a week band rehearsal.
Here at School of Rock San Antonio, student safety is our primary concern. Have we exceeded CDC guidelines? Yes– by far. And our commitment to cleanliness and social distancing is second to none. You'll find a FUN, SAFE, AND UNIQUE environment for learning music and socializing– an exceptional way out of Zoom fatigue. From beginners to advanced players, students can take advantage of our online lessons (or limited in person private lessons), and socially distanced in-school band rehearsals.
There's no better time than now to call us at 210-314-7671. We would love to give you a tour of the school (you'll have to wear a mask). We'll even provide a trial lesson for free.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We set up a free lesson for the teachers to evaluate the student and determine placement in our program. Once in the program, students learn scales, chords, and other music fundamentals while also learning actual songs. All of our students take a private lesson every week and participate in a band rehearsal each week, culminating in live rock concerts three times per year. During the COVID19 pandemic, our goal will be a live stream concert.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Many of our instructors have music degrees and have studied at universities such as Berklee, University of Incarnate Word, The New England Conservatory of Music (Boston), Texas State University, and others. Some of our instructors are self taught and have years of experience performing as professional musicians. All are dedicated instructors
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
As a performance based music program, our fee is $350/month. This includes a private lesson PLUS a band rehearsal each week.
What types of students have you worked with?
We teach students from beginner to advanced, ages 5 - 105.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Prior to the COVID19 pandemic, our students performed 3 times a year at a live venue and put on a rock concert for family and friends. Our House Band performs at many events, such as Cornyval in Helotes, TexFest in Austin, River City Rockfest in San Antonio and Summerfest in Wisconsin.
We are installing live stream gear to allow us to put on a great show for everyone to enjoy from the safety of their own homes.
