How did you get started teaching?
I've won many titles and have developed a reputation for success. Naturally people see that and want to train with the best.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've trained people with no experience and out of shape, all the way up to pro fighter training for championship fights.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do they have experience fighting? Real fights in sanctioned events. NOT STREET FIGHTS! There are no winners in street fights and no fight experience is gained in street fights. Most the time street fights are broken up before fighters really get to fight. Thus no skills are developed. Or they are unfair such as hitting an unsuspecting victim, or jumping someone meaning multiple people beating one guy. Those are not real fighters they are criminals. My advice learn for someone that has verified fighting experience through a state athletic commission.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Goals
Weight loss
Develop confidence
Bully prevention
Or actually start competing
Once you know your goal, now start to ask how that teacher can help you achieve that goal. That way the teacher can develop a program that can help you reach your goal ASAP.
