Briget B. says, "I love Becky's classes! I've been lucky enough to join her last 8 week series & I looked forward to it every week. I've been practicing yoga for several years but her classes always teach me something new. She has a lighthearted, fun energy, while also being challenging. I love the philosophy she embraces, that we are all students of life& that she is always learning herself. Ive been able to apply a lot of new priciples to my other yoga & day to day life to become better all-around. If you have the oppportunity to practice with her I highly recommend it! " Read more

Susan B. says, "Jaqueline is a gifted yoga therapy instructor and healer. I contacted her after being told I would need back surgery. As a yoga teacher and former tennis player/teacher I knew that a yoga therapy practice would help alleviate pain and possibly put off back surgery. In addition to the exercises she has given me, we have done several sessions of energy healing and I have felt great release. I highly recommend Jaqueline for yoga therapy and energy work." Read more

She works with where a client's body and mind are at from their first session and builds accordingly to their needs, in order to maintain consistent growth and change. Teaching fitness and wellness for over 20 years, Rebecca incorporates her various training disciplines seemlessly into tailormade sessions, whether private or in a group. Yoga, Meditation, Pilates, HIIT and microToning are some of the options one can expect in a training session with her. Again, these sessions are designed to be tailor made for the client. Your Yoga Classes questions, answered

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Lessons.com.

How much do yoga classes cost?

Single group sessions at yoga studios cost $15 to $20 on average. For private yoga training, you will likely spend between $30 and $70 on each lesson. Yoga classes mostly take place in a group setting, and the price per class depends on the location, yoga teacher’s knowledge and experience, and years of teaching.

How long is a yoga class?

On average, a yoga class is 75 to 90 minutes long. Many instructors say 90 minutes is simply how long it takes to pace through all the sacred yoga asanas, but a new shorter 60 minute class is quickly becoming popular with students.

What to wear to yoga class?

Most women prefer to wear tank tops or a sports bra that's made of a cotton and lycra (spandex) blend when they do yoga. Loose tee shirts and underwire bras are usually a no-no because they have a tendency to get in the way of movement.

For the bottoms, most women prefer to wear tights. These comfortable and stretchable pants will provide you with a full range of movement and allow your instructor to check your alignment. For slower-paced classes, you may be able to pull off wearing long skirts or stretchable harlem pants.

What to bring to yoga class?

Although many necessities are usually provided for you, there are a few things you may still want to bring yourself.

Here's what to bring to yoga class:

  1. Comfortable yoga attire
  2. Water bottle
  3. Hand towel
  4. Yoga mat
  5. Change of clothes
  6. Post-yoga snack

How often should you do yoga?

For those who are already quite active, doing yoga at least once or twice per week is recommended. For experienced practitioners, doing yoga every day is not uncommon. However, if you begin to be sore, consider taking a day or two off. Even if you only do you for one hour a week, you will experience the benefits of the practice.

How long does it take to get good at yoga?

There are many beginner yoga poses and sequences that you can get good at in your first yoga class. On a more spiritual level, it may take a lifetime to find the union between mind, body and spirit. You should expect to practice regularly for about six months before you feel confident that you can perform fundamental poses steadily and with some degree of proper form.
