About
I am primarily a drumset teacher, but can also provide beginner guitar, piano, and electric bass lessons. I can also help with intermediate to advanced level music theory. I have perfect pitch and can help with ear training as well.
I have been performing since I was ten years old, and teaching lessons since I was 16. I graduated in 2010 from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Music. I've performed all styles of music and have taught private drumset lessons since 2002.
I love being on stage and performing, but teaching someone else how to get the most out of themselves is something that drives me. In our lessons I will work with you to come up with a gameplan that covers both the building block necessities of what it is you're trying to learn while also tailoring the lessons to fit your individual style and goals.
Thank you for your time and consideration! I look forward to hearing from you.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For drumset lessons, the first lesson is usually a half hour, and I like to watch the student play for a few minutes just to get a general idea of their abilities and tendencies. Then I will go over a "game plan" of what we're going to be working on to adjust certain facets of their technique in order to set them on the path to get the most out of their creativity. Finally, I like to give them an opportunity to express what it is they hope to get out of these lessons so that we can create a goal to work towards together.
