Contact me at [email protected] for discussions about basketball, guitar, or tennis lessons.
Guitar: I have no formal training, but I believe in learning by playing what you love. I have been playing for 15 years starting with chording basic country songs, but my journey has led me to find bluegrass, fingerstyle, and some rock 'n' roll. My process has been slow, but I have enjoyed every minute of it and because of that I have grown as a player. Using a similar method, I would hope to light that same spark in those that are interested in playing guitar.
Basketball: Coming from a family of 5 boys, a girl, and a dad who loves basketball, my history with basketball runs long and deep. I coached at the youth level along-side my dad for several years and assisted one of my old high school coaches with his JV squad. My primary focus as a coach is on the old school fundamentals of the game. I love the style of play of the teams that epitomize team-style basketball such as the Denver Nuggets and GS Warriors (I am a Detroit Pistons fan) and so I emphasize developing the mindset, skills, and work-ethic that enable that style of play.
Tennis: Tennis was an accidental discovery just before my grade 11 year of high school. I went from never having played to finishing second at conferences as a 1 doubles player. After high school, I ran the Paw Paw Middle School tennis program for 2 years teaching about 30 students per session from grades 6 to 8.
