Grateful Goddess
About
Passion, Inspiration and Upliftment is the name of the game surrounding my work with clients in all walks of life.
I began my journey in fitness as a gymnast, and continued in the fitness industry since retiring in 2006. Trained through IMX Pilates in Reformer and May certifications, I am adept at tailoring work outs to meet individual needs , and motivate change which can also be taken off the mat/reformer/equipment to life- outside of our sessions. I am also currently completing a 200 level yoga certification, and I am certified in TRX Suspension Training. Seeing and being a part of the change that I guide in my clients is the most rewarding aspect of my practice. Wellness is a trifecta of body, mind and spirit coming together when we allow a deeper practice. I honor everyone on their individual paths and can work on any level to the benefit of the client.
A firm believer in health as a relationship between yourself and your body, I completed a BS in both Nutrition and Kinesiology. As a Registered Dietitian, I integrate both nutrition and fitness into my work with clients. Awareness and Mindfulness are key elements I bring into practice - the ultimate factor in true lifestyle change.

How did you get started teaching?
As a former competitive gymnast, fitness & nutrition have always been a part of my life. Upon retiring from the competitive world, I coached gymnastics for many years and progressed into training in the fitness industry.
The mind-body connection of Pilates and Yoga has been the leading factor of my progression as an instructor. I believe any change comes from mindfulness, and awareness of the body is a fundamental step.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with clients in all walks - from children, to high school youth. Young professionals, middle age and older populations.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Connection is important for a good fit between Teacher and Student. Ideally, you want to find an instructor whom you can trust and be honest with, as this allows the foundation for a Teacher to guide change.
Fun, Flexibility and variety of teaching methods are also fundamental elements to a great instructor.
An excellent instructor walks their walk - practices what they preach. Inspires you and motivates you to push yourself a little more everytime you meet.
