About
My service stands out because I can use my experience of being a Public School Teacher for 14 years and my knowledge of the body and all of the modifications and contraindications learned in my 800 hour Yoga Therapy Program to be able to design and teach all levels.
Every body is different; I enjoy finding ways to help others heal and empower their own bodies.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have an initial conference with new student/client to discuss their current goals and expected outcomes. Everyone is so different, so knowing contraindications as well as what they feel is successful with their body type helps me to design personalized lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Public School Teacher for 14 years, so patience is one of my strongest qualities. I just graduated from an 800 hour Yoga Therapy Program at Southwest Institute for Healing Arts. Focusing on Prenatal, Nidra, Sound Healing, individuals with PTSD, Yin, Restorative and advanced teaching methods, I feel confident that I can teach to any individual's needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20 per session/$10groups f 3 or more per sessionperson for group rates.
How did you get started teaching?
I have practiced Yoga for about 20 years, and taught in the public school system for 14. Along the way, I have started Yoga Clubs or just got together with friends to practice. It made sense 2 years ago to go back to school to really learn about Yoga to be able to guide others in practice.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with prenatal, PTSD, high school students, elementary students, elderly, individuals recovering from back surgery; really a wide range that I adjust my teaching to fit their needs always.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My two daughters were fighting sleep a few nights ago (even after bedtime reading). Their bedrooms are across from one another, so I sat between the rooms, and delivered a Nidra session (lowest state of meditation before sleeping--Delta), and played singing bowls until both were sleeping like angels! The whole house felt at peace.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Anyone looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise, I would recommend--meet them in person! A person's presence and energy is so important in this line of work.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about goals; what do you want to accomplish? What are past experiences with Yoga? Is there anything that you want to try? Do you have any injuries or ailments that need more attention?
