Vanessa grew up in South Africa and moved to Seattle in the early 2000s. In 2010 she took her first hot yoga class at a small local studio and quickly fell in love. When Vanessa and her husband moved to Orange County in 2015 she took the opportunity to deepen her practice. She completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification at CorePower Yoga in the Spring of 2016.

I began teaching yoga as a means of connecting the physical practice of yoga (asana) with individuals who may otherwise be wary or unsure of how a regular practice could positively impact their daily lives. This practice is all-inclusive and boasts accessibility to ALL beginner and intermediate students. I offer additional special emphasis on assisting students facing trauma and intense life stress, I also teach a very secular practice, so any/all backgrounds will feel comfortable and respected in their space.
Jackie began her journey as a teacher when she completed training in Ashtanga yoga in 2009, and Hot Style yoga in 2010. She continued her yoga education by completing the Balance Yoga Teacher Training Program at KC Fitness Link, a 200 hour teacher training certification, and is currently working on her 500 hour certification. The Training Habit offers one on one personal training, semi- private training and small group classes. All personal training sessions are customized to each client's specific goals and body type. Our small group classes provide an energetic atmosphere but still offer individualized attention with a max of 12 clients per class.
