I teach rock and acoustic guitar. I can show you techniques, how to play faster, how you can use music theory to improvise, and also how to write your own music. I've been teaching for over 18 years and can teach any age ranges.
I love playing guitar and feel amazing when I can help someone else learn how to play. One of my favorite things about teaching is watching my students gain skills and start learning songs on their own, or even start writing songs on their own.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I determine their skill level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) and see what their goals are. I then teach tailored lessons to help them achieve those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar for over 24 years and have been teaching since I was 16 years old. I also have a masters degree in teaching practices which, despite it being in math eduation, enhanced my skill level teaching guitar because there are lots of ideas that work for both
