About this pro

You don't know how good you can feel! And I absolutely love watching people feel better, stronger, calmer, and happier! With a background in yoga therapy and exercise science, I use movements that challenge your body, but safely support it. I am passionate about providing personalized yoga sequences and exercise sessions that will help you meet your goals (weight loss, strength and lean muscle, more mobility, less anxiety, stress relief, etc) and more importantly, each session will make you feel better than when you started and give you more confidence about your body!

I LOVE helping people feel confident and pain-free in their bodies. I have an upbeat, encouraging personality and love bringing a sense of happiness wherever I go.

Heather is AMAZING! I am not sure where I would be today, without her knowledge, kindness, and ability to push me (just the right way!) I have been hesitant for years on doing personal training, but decided during COVID that I should and I can't be HAPPIER! I even got a box of equipment that was delivered to my house to make my sessions even more challenging. If you want someone who CARES and is KNOWLEDGEABLE - contact Heather. She is AMAZING!

I lost so much in my body’s fitness the last few years. But Heather never made me feel any judgement or regret as we got started - she’s so focused on celebrating what your body can do right now and moving forward. Love the energy and encouragement in every session. I’m finally feeling like myself again!

Heather works with your unique needs. She could help Jeff and I at the same time period. She worked with us as a couple and it was fun but challenging. She helps you understand why you did certain moves. She's a natural.

Heather has a beautiful way of pushing me to become stronger, while at the same time making our sessions fun, interesting, full of new moves and effective. She is extremely knowledgeable about the human body. I feel safe asking her questions and she always has in depth answers. She always takes into account how I’m feeling each session before we begin and adjusts the workout accordingly on a dime. Heather encourages me to be grateful for a body that shows up for me each and everyday to do it’s job. When I started doing restorative yoga with Heather 15 months ago I was barely able to hold myself up on my hands and knees. I have grown in leaps and bounds with her knowledge and support on this journey. I plan on doing yoga with Heather as long as I can as she truly has changed my life for the better!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always find out how the student's body feels (are there any new or old injuries we should be aware of) and what their main goals are (stress relief, weight loss, strength, flexibility, pain reduction, etc) and create sessions that safely heal the body and help the student reach their goals!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and also an expereinced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 500) as well as a certified personal trainer (CPT) and corrective exercise specialist (CES). I have thousands of hours of training and teaching and have taught thousands of students.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work with all ages and all bodies! Seriously...teenagers up to 90+ years young :)

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Every teacher has a different personality and approach. Don't stop if you've tried one and didn't love it! There's someone out there for you. It's like flavors of ice cream...everyone enjoys something different. Don't settle for something  that doesn't make you excited and motivated to move!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What do I need to know about your body and how you are feeling? I customize everything to my students' unique bodies, lifestyle, and environment!
