I have over 20 years of experience as a voice and piano teacher.
I developed the Fundamental Vocal Course for adults and a specialized course for children which teaches basic technique while catering to the individual.
I teach all levels, styles and ages on piano. I have mentored students for 10 years that started as a beginner then progressed into their chosen style.
I have a MA in Musical Theatre with a Certificate in Musical Composition from Regis University. I work as a teaching artist and musician throughout the front range.
I enjoy the process of learning especially in creative fields. I love seeing a student experience success after dilligent effort. I am passionate about music and like to share that with my students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The benefit of private lessons is the precise instruction to the student's preferences and needs. I go wherever the student wishes to explore.
I offer a free, introductory lesson so the student can experience a lesson to see what my teaching style is.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Musical Theatre with a Certificate in Music Composition from Regis University.
I work with many schools and arts organizations including Red Rocks Community College, Arvada Center and the Lakewood Cultural Center. I teach private lessons in Arvada, Nederland and Gilpin County.
I work throughout the Front Range as a teaching artist and performer.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer a a 1/2 hour lesson for $25 and an hour lesson for $50.
Students pay monthly and makeup lessons are done on the 5th week of the month.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught piano lessons while putting myself through college and began teaching voice after graduating. I have always loved to teach and found I had a knack for it.

I have worked with all ages, levels and styles of students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The student needs to make sure the instructor is the right fit for their learning style.
