We believe everyone has something to say, and music makes those messages heard. Whether it’s what’s said through movement and dance, by borrowing a songwriter’s words, or by a memory triggered by a familiar tune - music leaves no one out and tells no one their song is not worth singing.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During your consultation, you'll chat with our owner-operator about your needs and experiences. We will then outline current programs and funding sources right for you and get you started on your next step!
Not sure if our services are a good fit for you? We're happy to help! During this 30 minute session, you'll get to explore what Music Plus has to offer and experience some of the interventions that are likely to be best suited for your needs and skill development.
Once you've assessed the value of Music Therapy in your life, we can schedule a standard on-boarding session to begin forming a completely individualized treatment plan for you.
Trial sessions are not a required step in begin services.
During your initial session, you will meet via telehealth with your therapist. The first several minutes will be taken to chat and get to know you and your needs as an extension of our intake. You will be walked through what to expect from our services and what the next steps of therapy will be like.
All Music Plus therapists create an environment for comfort and success through client education, involvement and meaningful interventions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Music Therapy/NMT is the clinical use of music to accomplish non-musical goals preformed by a board certified, music therapy professional.
Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) is the therapeutic application of music to cognitive, sensory, and motor dysfunctions which result from neurologic illness, impairment, or injury.
The results and goals of music therapy create meaningful, lasting change in daily movement, cognition, behavior, speech, and socio-emotional functions.
NMT is currently endorsed by the World Foundation for Neurorehabilitation.
