About
Music lives inside of me. I was born with my foot tapping to the rhythm of my heart. Influenced at an early age by everything musical, particularly my grandfather who was a banjo player/entertainer at Shakeys Pizza in NorthPlatte, Nebraska. I picked up guitar at about 12 yrs old, and was instantly obsessed. Since then I've become comfortable playing other instruments such as bass guitar, drums, keyboards, etc. I have also written and arranged many original songs, recorded/mixed multi-tracks in studio. Worked in local bands, which played the Denver metro circuit. Was featured on other artists recordings.
I'm pretty laid back, mellow and easy going. Here's hoping I can assist you on your musical journey.
Best of days, and most restful of nights to you..
The most satisfying part of it all, is seeing that sparkle in someone's eyes, when they start to get it. It begins to make sense, and they are on their way. Playing music, and music in general is such a spiritual experience. Every emotion that can be experienced by humankind, can be felt and expressed through music. And it's magical to see the emotion on someone's face and coursing through them when they're really getting into the song that they are playing. Stevie Ray Vaughan comes to mind. Watch live footage of him and you see, almost feel his emotion as he plays.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It's all about communication. Finding out what the student wants to learn, and what level they are at.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My musical education has been life, listening, hearing and feeling the heart and soul of those who were gifted with this incredible ability to express through music. I've learned from everything I've ever heard, and count myself as one whom a gift was given..
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Price varies slightly depending on subject, time and day. Generally $20-$30/Hr.
How did you get started teaching?
As a teenager one of my friends taught me the basic 1 4 5 Blues progression. And I thought that was so cool to have learned this new thing from my friend. A few weeks later I was just noodling around with this Blues progression and one of my friends asked me to show them how I was doing that. And it kind of clicked with me. This whole circle of life/music thing, and how you take your knowledge that you received from someone, and pass it on to someone else. And it was a wonderful feeling. That was the beginning of the teaching Journey.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You need to feel comfortable, and sense some type of connection with your teacher. And the same goes for teacher to student.
