Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually like getting on a quick introductory 15 min call to talk about goals and wants. Every class after that can be customizable for 30/60/90 minutes. We meet and talk through needs before each class but we can work toward a larger goal and adjust on the day of depending on how you feel!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 200 hours + of yoga training including continuing education. I have a YouTube channel with over dozens of yoga videos to do at home! I work with beginner to intermediate yoga students and those who want help or tips on dealing with anxiety and how and breathing can help!

What types of students have you worked with?
Beginner students, desk workers, nurses, cyclysts, students with sciatica & low back pain, and students with upper back pain.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask around and see which teachers will best fit your needs! Everyone is looking for something different and every teacher also specializes their focus in something different. If you don't know what you want, ask around and interview a few teachers before you feel like you have found or connected with the right one!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are you looking for a quicker or slower yoga flow?
Vinyasa or or Hatha? (Maybe ask the teacher to explain these to you so you understand before you choose them).
Do you like longer yoga flows or shorter ones?
Do you prefer to focus on the physcial or the other limbs of yoga instead?
What is your profession? See if the teacher offers postures that are good for your type of lifestyle (to counter the usual everday movements).
Do you have a specific pain area? Maybe ask the teacher if they have anything they've done to help with that in the past and what the results have been?
Think thorugh these questions. If you don't know, then ask the teacher you are interviewing with about them and see what their response is and see if it resonates with you!
