I have been teaching yoga for several years now and love every moment of it. Additionally, I love to see each student's progression; whether recovering from an injury, finding the stregth to make it through a severe illness, or mastering a challenging pose.

Paul is an amazing yoga instructor! He puts a real focus in breath, which is often difficult to find in an instructor. He is also great at being able to adapt sessions for specific needs. I can't imagine going to anyone else!

Paul is a great yoga instructor who works to grow our private class skills and makes each class new by introducing us to different poses and techniques. Yoga with Paul & Intentions Yoga has really brought a new vibe to our health and wellness in the past year. Thank you!

Paul really listens to me and customizes the practice to my needs. He's very knowledgable and encouraging, without ever being pushy. His calming disposition is laced with a great sense of humor. Several of my friends have also started practicing with Paul, and are now suggesting him to others. I started out with Paul as a new-by, and when I've gone to yoga classes in other cities I feel confident. He has provided excellent instruction and challenges me each and every time. If you're thinking about doing yoga, call Paul, he's excellent!

Personalized service. Paul cares about what he does. He wants to make your experience the best that it can be. He will tailor a yoga lesson to what you need / want. Relaxing, challenging, or switching from one to the other from each session to the next. Plus, if you cannot get to a set yoga class each week, Paul may be able to accommodate your schedule.

How did you get started teaching?

Paul’s love of movement began in his teenage years, where he fell in love with dance. As this love for movement and flow grew, he continued his dance education through his college years. However, after eight years of dance, Paul became swept up in the societal norms and became corporate career focused – placing his passion on hold.

For 13 years, Paul Roberts had dedicated his time and energy to the art of being a Barista. However, over the years, he become painfully aware of all the physical ailments that come with working on our feet all day, as well as, from repetitive motion. Additionally, the high-stress environment and anxiety that can begin to build from working in Customer Service, and specifically management roles. So... he decided to make a huge change from managing a coffee house and began his journey as a yoga instructor - his path to inner peace.

Through the help and dedicated practice of yoga, he has been able to support regulating anxiety, reducing stress, and alleviating majority of his physical ailments and body pains/aches. For these very reasons, he would love the opportunity to share Yoga and all its benefits with you!

What types of students have you worked with?

A wide range and variety of students. Ages 16 -90+. All variety of injuries and ailments (i.e. spinal fusions, broken bones, wrist and ankle injuries, anxiety, cancer, depression, osteoperosis, fibromyalgia, low/high blood pressure, etc.) And beginner to Advanced levels.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would recommend finding a teacher/style that resonates with you. Eveyone thrives in different environments, settings, and teaching styles. Find one that seems to fit what you are looking for and can support your personal needs; whether theat's deepening your practice, or finding support for an injury or illness.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Always talk to your teacher about any ailments or injuries you may be experiencing, so that the instructor can ensure you are not doing anything that may cause furthur injury and prevent discomfort. Everything can be modified to accommodate your level of experience, discomfort in the body, or injuries.
