Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process when working with a new student is to increase the range of motion through dynamic stretching. The length and depth of the breath as well as posture give me a good analysis of what methods will better suit their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified yoga instructor and licensed massage therapist. I took courses on anatomy and physiology as well as pathology.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$10 - In-group classes
$25 - Private lessons
How did you get started teaching?
I became a certified yoga instructor in 2014 at Bala Vinyasa yoga studio in Coral Gables, which is now Green Monkey.
At first, I started by just showing my mom, and then it grew into friends.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with over 100 students from Carnival Cruise Lines to local gyms.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I came across this book called The Oxygen Advantage. I think everyone should read it, and apply its concepts. It is simple and effective.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When looking for a teacher always communicate the goal that you wish to achieve. This way the instructor can tailor the class for those goals.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself how much are you willing to invest to achieve your needs. I can share the practice of yoga, but other factors that come into play are diet, lifestyle, and how much you practice on a day to day basis.
