What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is to see at the beginning what area of music the student is wanting to learn. Some are more interested in technical aspects, such as scales and theory and others are interested in just learning their favorite songs. So, it's important to find out first the goals of the student, then build the lesson plan around that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to school and graduated with a music degree in Composition and performance. I've played in bands for 25 years and have had songs I've written songs placed on television shows such as Vampire Diaries, Lucifer, Lethal Weapon, Love and Hip Hop in Atlanta and Entertainment Tonight
