I found Matt via Reverb Lessons Match. I filled out the Reverb Lessons Match information and as described, I was contacted by Reverb with the name of an instructor that matched my criteria/description. I was matched with Matt B. and so far the match is just what I was looking for. I had some experience playing guitar, but I also have a lot of gaps in my guitar education. Matt has done a nice job, so far, of giving me warm-up exercises to improve my technique, resources that allow me to practice better and feedback that is not overly critical. I'm not trying to be a rock star, I enjoy playing guitar and want to get better and Matt seems to understand who I am and where I want to go as a guitar player. Matt has followed up each of my lessons with an email that contains pdf files of the various techniques we covered and discussed during my lesson, resources/links for practicing and pdf files and resources for the song that I am learning to complement the practice skills that I am working on. Matt also seems to have a plan for me that adapts with my ability and the pace at which I am able to learn and improve.

I've had several lessons with Eliza-Jane so far and they've been wonderful. She's very kind and makes you feel comfortable as a student immediately. We've been focusing quite a bit on my breathing technique and finding ways for me to sing safely in a way that doesn't strain, which has been very important to me. I also want to note that I'm a music theater singer, and two lessons in she already started helping me find good songs for my book. I definitely recommend!!

I have had a wonderful introduction to guitar with my first pack of lessons from Owen. I was hesitant to purchase lessons online fearful that I would be learning with a great guitar player verses a great teacher. Owen has proven me wrong! He clearly taught many before me; exhibited by his patience, knowledge, lesson planning and valuable feedback. As an adult learner, I am surpising myself each week with my progress due all in part to his teaching! Totally, 100%, recommend. ~Heidi K.
