About this pro

I fell in love with yoga in 2011 when my body was no longer responding favorably to my workouts at the gym.  I needed to make a change.  Yoga was my answer!

I have opened a private studio in my home.  I am focusing on private and semi private lessons geared to people new to yoga, coming back or wanting to enhance their practice. Lessons are gentle and geared to your personal fitness needs and goals.

I love passing on the gifts of yoga that I fell in love with.  Yoga has affected my mind and spirit, something I never received in other "exercise" programs.

I truly believe yoga is for every body, and my goal is to offer hope to people who may be intimidated with studios or the yoga language or clothing.  There is no judgment and every class is customized to your personal fitness goals.

I am certified to teach children and I have my 200 hr. registered yoga teaching certificate.  I also love to teach Yin yoga, which I also am certified in which is all done on the mat, longer held poses to stretch the connective tissue, done with a relaxed muscle.  A wonderful complement to traditional yoga.  Restorative yoga is another type that I offer.  I am also certified in Yoga for Recovery, (Y12SR) for those in 12 step Recovery.

Kathleen has created a very special space to practice yoga. Her intimate studio with its soft tones, natural light and beautiful music add to the experience. Kathleen is interested in the what my specific issues are and in gearing the session accordingly. I feel more balanced even lighter after one of her classes. I highly recommend!

Kathleen has a unique approach for teaching yoga. She gives personalized attention to each person and works with your specific needs. The studio is serene and beautiful and you leave with a feeling of peace and well being. I am so happy to have found Kathleen and to have individual attention. I plan on becoming a regular with her sessions

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I take time to find out their goals and any limitations.  Reviewing their current physcal ability.  I work slowly and gently to determine the best personalized practice for each individual.  I explain about the 8 limbs of yoga, explaining that the asana or movement/shape is only one of the limbs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a 200 hr certified yoga teacher.  I also have a certification to teach children, children with special needs, and yin yoga.  I also teach chair yoga to seniors.
