About
I fell in love with yoga in 2011 when my body was no longer responding favorably to my workouts at the gym. I needed to make a change. Yoga was my answer!
I have opened a private studio in my home. I am focusing on private and semi private lessons geared to people new to yoga, coming back or wanting to enhance their practice. Lessons are gentle and geared to your personal fitness needs and goals.
I love passing on the gifts of yoga that I fell in love with. Yoga has affected my mind and spirit, something I never received in other "exercise" programs.
I truly believe yoga is for every body, and my goal is to offer hope to people who may be intimidated with studios or the yoga language or clothing. There is no judgment and every class is customized to your personal fitness goals.
I am certified to teach children and I have my 200 hr. registered yoga teaching certificate. I also love to teach Yin yoga, which I also am certified in which is all done on the mat, longer held poses to stretch the connective tissue, done with a relaxed muscle. A wonderful complement to traditional yoga. Restorative yoga is another type that I offer. I am also certified in Yoga for Recovery, (Y12SR) for those in 12 step Recovery.
