Sally, a licensed clinical social worker in Missouri and Kansas, has worked since 2001 in the field of community and emergency mental health as a group and individual therapist and yoga instructor. Eight years ago Sally began her yoga training and became a Registered Yoga Teacher, 200 hours -- integrating yoga breathing and movement into her mental health practice with groups and individuals, with special training and experience in trauma-sensitive yoga with eating disorders, seniors, and beginners. Sally has provided outreach, education, and project management on behalf of the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center and Landon Center on Aging. Having spent many years training professionals in the areas of aging and mental health, Sally has received three “Professional of the Year” awards from her colleagues in the past several years. Sally provides aging/mental health teaching, training, counseling, and consulting on a part-time basis. She maintains a small private practice, providing adult and senior mental health therapy and private therapeutic or beginner yoga in-home and is a Medicare provider. She is a professional speaker, trainer and consultant in her fields.
