I have been practicing yoga at many different studios in the St. Louis area. Yes I began yoga mostly for the posture practice to build strength and flexibility, but the more I attended classes the more I realized how many layers there are within this practice called Yoga. Breathing techniques (pranayama) that calm the mind and ease our stress. Meditation to help us become more grounded, find inner peace or relieve anxiety. All this from a little over an hour on a mat. When life gets crazy I find going to my mat is a way to help ease whatever I may be working through. I love the positive energy one feels thru this practice and have wanted to learn more. So in May I completed my 200YTT at South River Yoga. My teachers and fellow students were a huge influence on my desire to want to teach others to be aware of what their bodies and minds area capable of accomplishing.
With all the craziness of the world we live in I hope by taking some small time out of your day to spend it on your mat can help effect your day and our world in a positive way

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Beginner flow but can modify to more difficult poses if needed. Work with breath (pranayama) and some meditation working up to relaxation in savasana.

Completed 200YTT @South River Yoga Studio in May 2019 under the guidance of Jennifer Jones and Jami Marsoun

Yoga/stretch class 6:15PM Wednesday's at AnyTime Fitness @ Butler Hill and Highway 55 - - class size limited to 10 students
Starting October 14th @5:30PM on Monday's will offer Yoga Class at Windsor Intermediate School @ Highway 61/67 and Windsor Harbor.

Classes can vary from beginner to advanced yogi - Yin Yoga poses, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasana Flow with some stretching and pranayama (breathing) as well as meditation practices.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Each class and student is different - I try to offer basic poses with modifications either with props or variations to the poses. Yoga is always a "practice". We are always learning and practicing. One day our bodies are different from another. I want us to tune in to that and honor that with our yoga practice.
