My specialties are ACT/SAT tutoring and basketball training/coaching.
For both, my service stands apart from others because of my experience, attention to detail, and specific tips that enable my students and trainees to master difficult concepts, both mental and physical.
My experience includes years of hands on experience for both ACT/SAT tutoring and basketball training.
For ACT/SAT exam prep, I have 10+ years of experience as a certified teacher and professional tutor. My tips & methods increase scores 15-20% on average. I can increase speed and comprehension, and make learning easier.
In basketball, I have played & coached for more than 20 years. I was recruited by hundreds of small colleges while in high school, and I coached high school boys and girls once I graduated college. I still play competitively, and I can help with all aspects of the mental & physical parts of the game.
I have always had a passion for teaching, coaching, and training. When I know something extremely well, like ACT, SAT, or basketball, I like conveying my knowledge to others and helping them master things. It's inherent in my nature. My passion, skills, and experience make my skill sets unique.

After working in the Human Resources and Staffing field, I wanted a change. I have always had a passion for training and teaching others, and I already had a B.A. in Employment Relations, so I only needed an additional 2 years of school in order to get certified to teach both English and Sociology.
I have worked with a wide spectrum of ages, levels, and disabilities.
I have taught lessons to students in grades Kindergarten through 12th, and I have also taught college students.
I have also taught students with a variety of disabilities.
I recently attended a book signing with my 14 year old daughter. The author was a well-known blogger and had just published his 2nd book.
I would advise them to find someone they can connect with, who understands their style of learning, and who is able to convey knowledge in a way that the student can understand.
It would be a good idea to think about the following:
What are my strengths?
What are my weaknesses?
What questions do I have?
What type of learner am I? (visual, auditory, etc.)
What am I looking to achieve?
