About
We're here to have fun. Yes, we need to work and put in the hours, but basketball is about having fun. At the end of the day, this is just a silly game. It's a silly game that can change your life, take you around the world, earn you some serious money, or just help you pass the time. It's a game, and I'll be damned if we don't have fun while we're practicing.
Growth. Literally, every single day is an opportunity for growth, and that's really beautiful. Being able to reflect on the past and remembering when you couldn't do something that you can now do with ease...it's beautiful.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Step one is a mechanical assessment. We'll run through numerous drills that stress mechanics, allowing for weaknesses to show. From there, we'll put together a plan to address those weaknesses and further hone an athlete's strengths,
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a high school coach for 7 years, working closely with young athletes along the way. I've since worked with numerous HS, DI, DII, DIII, and professional athletes.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge by the hour, plus travel expenses when applicable (tolls + anything over 20 miles).
How did you get started teaching?
I began coaching as a student coach when I was a senior in HS. At the time, I became an unofficial assistant coach for the Boys' Freshman basketball team. The next year, upon graduation, I returned as an official assistant coach.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with boys of all ages, having coached 5th and 6th graders, later being a boys' Freshman assistant, a boys' JV head coach, and a boys' Varsity assistant. I've also worked with junior high and high school girls individually.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Dawn Staley and South Carolina knocking down the almighty UConn in the Women's National Championship game. Coach Staley is one of the best in the country and does so well by her kids.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be willing to work. Knowledge is helpful, but it ultimately comes down to work. I can't do the work for you, I can only make sure you're doing it properly. Greatness is a result of consistent and relentless work. Work doesn't have to be mundane or scary. It can certainly be fun; it's just a matter of attitude and mindset.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I taking care of school work? Am I getting enough sleep? Am I eating properly?
