I started working with Jamil after a very long period of close to no physical activity (several years). My work involved sitting at a desk for prolonged periods of time and my diet consisted of basically coffee + pastries. At the beginning of working with him I could barely do a push-up, a lunge, or a sit-up. I am very careful with who I chose to work with, and Jamil was amazing at creating a safe, non-judgmental space in which I could basically start working on my fitness from zero. He put together a personalized plan for me that accounted for my fitness level (or lack thereof), health limitations (lower back pain) and goals - and kept reviewing it weekly as my fitness level improved.
