    Frequently asked questions

At first we will proceed with an initial assessment to identify what the current client's goals are. In our assessment we are able to find and document what the client wants to see happen, what results they want, and how to best achieve this. It is a scientific approach to identify a large range of issues such as muscle imbalances and postural issues all the way to strength and physical abilities.

We will go through a bunch of martial arts to see what best fits you unless you already have a specific one in mind!

We are fully cerfitied by the best in the world to do it in the martial arts industry.

We are directly certified by the Inosanto Academy of Martial Arts and Martial Arts Research Systen to teach. The Inosanto family is a direct connection to the late Bruce Lee and is one of the main reasons that martial arts has taken a progressive leap the last few decades. So much so that the movie industry has gone to us for movies like the Bourne series, 300, John Wick series, Warrior, and many more.

We are also certified and members of the National Academy of Sports Medicine in personal training, corrective exercise (for muscular and postural issues), and athletic performance enhancement (for those wanting to complete and take it to the next level).

With all of this, we take a very scientific approach to teaching martial arts so that you can learn how to defend and fight while getting into the best shape of your life.

The truth about our pricing structure will depend on what we teach. Each client is individually tailored so it's hard to give an exact amount based off the information we get before meeting you.

What we teach is all-inclusive so not only do you get the martial arts lesson you want but we also do a comprehensive personalized plan dedicated to fix and strengthen your weak points. We can say that it costs around $100 to $200 per lesson.

We started getting into teaching after we realized that a lot of our friends and family wanted to learn how to fight and protect themselves WHILE improving their physical health.

We attended a lot of martial arts gyms ourselves and didn't enjoy the whole group cliques that develop in classes. We were sick and tired of working with individuals who didn't care about our well beings and only saw us as numbers. Some people in classes had a huge ego problem and always wanted to assert themselves into every class. Needless to say, most of the martial arts schools in NYC were huge disappointments. We decided to do the complete opposite.

A lot of our friends and family LOVED the way we took our approach and started to refer others. We ended up creating our school and since then we've taken in only a select few that match our ambitions.

We've worked with students in all aspects of life. We've worked with law enforcement personnel, NYPD, Fortune 500 execs (who hasn't nowadays?!), Actors and Actresses, building managers, bouncers, security companies, doctors, lawyers, and much more.

Each of our students have gone on to say nothing but great things about us.

We recently attended the LA Premiere of the Warrior show (originally written by the late Bruce Lee) produced by HBO and Cinemax. We did awesome fight scenes in an immersive experience in front of a bunch of Hollywood execs, actors (Michael Jai White, Tzi Mai, cast from Crazy Rich Asians, and more), and actresses.

We even did a fight scene with Shannon Lee, Bruce Lee's daughter, where she joins in on the fight with us.

Be careful and question what you're learning. If you're learning self defense, make sure it's applicable to you. It’s not always a one size fits all approach like most schools are doing it.

Of course there comes a time where you need to learn the basics of what your instructor is teaching you but you also need to practice and pressure test it to make sure it works for you. You need to have a bunch of clay before you can chip away to create your own structure.

Don’t be too hung up on credentials and certifications all the time. You can have all the certifications in the world and still be unable to teach a god damn thing.

The mark of a good teacher is being able to teach the complicated things in a simple-to-understand manner. We try our best in each encounter to always ensure you understand what we’re teaching completely.

Look for a teacher who is humble enough to always be learning something new. The minute a teacher stops learning, they will become stale and outdated. We strive to learn something new to add to our methods every day.

The most common problems we get from prospective students is that they are not clear on their goals. If your goal is to lose weight, great. We can ensure that you’ll lose weight! But specifically how much weight do you want to lose?

If your goal is to learn how to protect yourself, we can definitely teach you that. But specifically what scenario or endeavor is prompting you? Are you afraid of someone throwing a punch or even tackling you to the floor? Someone pulling a knife on you?

We can complete our assessment when you clearly identify these goals. We often run into students at the assessment level where they know they want to lose weight or learn how to fight but have not yet identify a clear and concise goal.

Most people have a final goal in mind but no milestones. If you want to lose weight as a goal, your first mile stone should be to lose 3 pounds. After 3lbs is accomplished, 5 more pounds becomes the next goal- so on and so forth.

Our assessment will cover these aspects so don’t worry. We just need you to have goals with specifics in mind.
