Bobby is simply the best piano teacher on planet earth! He is kind, caring and really knows his stuff. Our children miss that he is not in our area any more!! Consider yourself super lucky to have a brilliant piano teacher close enough to take lessons with. Even if you live in Brooklyn or far away, he is worth the trip and may even come to you :)
I can not recommend him enough!!!!

Rob is an amazing and wonderful music teacher. He taught both my children for a number of years and always adapted his teaching style to suit my childrens ages, abilities and temperaments. He is patient, kind and understanding and instilled a life-long love of music.

Rob was out music teacher (Piano AND Guitar) for ten years. He always came with a smile and lots of excitement. My kids genuinely loved their lessons. He has a ton of patience and really worked with them. My kids never found practicing a chore. I am forever THANKFUL to him for bringing music in to our home. He became part of the family. I adore Rob and the way he teaches. Both of of my kids are still playing today!

    Frequently asked questions

Before working with the child, I like to speak to the parent about whatever special needs the child may have, how their child learns best and what their goals are for their child in learning a new instrument. If the child has a specific special education program, I would want to know if there are specific strategies that can help their child learn best so that I can make modifications, accommodations and adaptations when teaching.

When working with a new student, I like to speak to them about why they would like to learn the piano or the guitar and I ask them what types of songs they would be interested in learning along the way.

I studied music as a child, first by learning recorder, then guitar and piano. I also learned to play trumpet, trombone and baritone horn in school and joined all of the school bands and orchestras. I majored in music at Brooklyn College and  received my Master's degree in Special Education from Long Island University.
