About
I personally tailor lessons to your preference and skill level. Want to learn how to play your favorite song? I can help. Wanna solo? Can do! I've been a guitarist for 15 years and a professional for 7, playing on albums ranging from rock and roll, heavy metal, folk, country, and even reggae, and can help achieve your goals with you.
I love getting students to the next step in their journey as a guitarist and artist! I remember when I was starting out, and went through so many teachers thinking that music wasn't for me. My first great guitar teacher really changed that for me. A teacher you can really relate with, and that can impart their wisdom and passion for the craft is invaluable, and I strive to be that person for all of my students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first establish the student's baseline ability, and what they hope to accomplish through lessons. I then come up with a plan tailored to their existing skillset. Does the student want to move past playing the pentatonic scale and move into more modal playing? Does the student want to reharmonize their own songs? Does the student even know how to hold a guitar pick? It's best to first understand who the student is and work from there, as opposed to forcing a cookie cutter lesson plan on them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained as a guitarist by several instructers in Orlando, including the award winning guitarist Michael Walker, but found my greatest growth as a musician came from performing in various groups through my life. I learned so much from being put in different environments, whether it was as a teenager playing with adults at blues jams, or being hired as a session musician for a reggae album. I've been a professional musician since I was 17, and have played in seemingly every kind of band, which has influenced me tremendously and given me the versatility to be creative in any genre, which has always been my personal goal.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is as follows:
$60 - 1 45 minute lesson
$200 - 4 45 Minute lessons
If you want to have a shorter or longer lesson, I'll work with you! Just let me know.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was 13, I began to teach my little brother. He lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I figured guitar would be a fun hobby for him to focus on. From there, his friends wanted lessons, and then my friends as well. I taught kids in my band, and even a teacher in my high school! When I moved t New York, I gave lessons to my peers in the singer songwriter circle who wanted to refine their skills, and from there word spread.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every kind! I have had young students who have never held a guitar, a teenage savant who was honestly much better than I am (no shame! there's always more to learn), adults who are trying to get back into an old hobby or start a new one, both verbal and non verbal students with ASD, friends, bandmates, strangers, acquaintances, etc.
