About
Ever box in an art studio? Enjoy artwork by local artists and our lead trainer himself Ricardo, while hitting a bag, shadowboxing or doing some cardio. You will also learn the foundation of boxing while strengthening and conditioning your body. We might be outside in the park one day or in the studio the next, so always be ready to have fun!
When people decide to commit on a fitness journey, you not only see their body change but their mental and emotional state as well. It’s amazing the strength people realize they have doing that last pushup or finishing that last set of weights. I've been training for almost 15 years and it still motivates me to make sure they get the best out of their workout.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to see the level of fitness they are at before I start anything since everyone is different. I don't want to put an experienced boxer that runs 6 miles a day with someone who just had a baby, or hasn't worked out ever before. We all have our levels as long as we have a willingness to get better.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I used to train at New York Sports Club, was a fitness manager at Equinox, and then decided to open up my own gym after almost two decades in the business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do have standard pricing that goes for each class which is $40 a class. For personal training I want everyone to be able to come in and train so I'm more flexible with packages since it's more money upfront.
What types of students have you worked with?
The message my gym gives is that everyone can box! Everyone can start a fitness journey no matter what age. My team and I train kids from 10-13 years old, as well as older folks. One of my clients is 67 yrs old and has been training with me for four years.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Not everyone connects with a trainer or a gym space, so definitely give everyone a try with an open mind. You'll end up spending a lot of time there so it's best you like the people and space.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is your goal? What is the timeline you want to achieve your goals? What made you decide to start?
