Chris has a vast knowledge of genres that is evident in his playing and teaching style. Whether you are a novice or have years of experience, he individualizes the lessons by highlighting your strengths and progress with guitar while finding plausible methods to tackle your weaknesses. The most significant aspect of Chris’ teaching is that he provides foundational skills necessary for every kind of guitarist so that you are better equipped for live performances, session work, etc. Chris’ musical repertoire, gregarious nature, and dedication to the guitar combined with his student-focused teaching approach places him above any other music teacher that I have ever experienced!

Chris is a working professional. His experience informs his lesson material and brings them into invaluable context. He is well-spoken, direct, and clear. His teachings on guitar fundamentals provides a strong foundation to the student. He will encourage the challenging stuff when he believes youre able to go the next step instead of throwing the wall. He genuinely cares about your progress and will support you as you practice and learn. A good man.

Chris is not only a phenomenal teacher but an unbelievable player as well. Chris is patient and very knowledgeable about what he is teaching. He will only teach things that he sees as applicable and useful for you. Along with this, Chris teaches only the things he uses himself to enhance his playing so you know what you are practicing is very useful. Ive had many guitar teachers over the years and none of them even compete with Chris. The things I have learned from Chris have enhanced my playing an unbelievable amount. Chris is one of the kindest people I know and is the best teacher in the world.

Chris is an absolute professional with an easy going nature. I love that even as an advanced guitar player he develops his lessons for each person which blooms into such great results for students. I would recommend that any person take lessons from Chris and enhance your musical vocabulary and style with goal targeted and supportive environment.

As someone who grew up playing guitar from a young age, but who lost touch with it over the years, Chris has reignited that curiosity and fun that I used to have playing in high school. Hes been super patient as I fumble around dusting off the cobwebs and always has great tips and tricks to improve in between lessons. Looking forward to more!
