I've learned piano a bit differently and some musicians I know. I used Youtube and as time passed by I loved the growth I made for just learning to play on song at a time, This took most of my life actually. Approximately 11-12 years. I'm not the best teacher to learn from however I will make sure you exel above my skill level. After I'm done it will be worth your time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assess their skill level. I'll ask them if they could play a song or a tune of their choice. If they play it without any mistakes, I will ask them for 3 more somgs or tunes. and start at a high level learning. If they do make mistakes, I will start from the basics.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a self taught musician that can play piano, guitar, and the ukelele. I'm a current student at Berkeley College.
