Yoga With LoriAnne
About
I am currently working to build a business where I focus on yoga for trauma victims. I am definitely taking on traditional yoga students as well. As a certified teacher and a sexual assault survivor myself, I know how hard it is to regain your mental health. I do have degrees in psychology, however, I am not a certified therapist. I am however, your biggest cheerleader and I will love you through your pain with our yoga classes. Thank you and have a VERY beautiful day. Namaste. :)
I love being able to guide students through their journey and giving them the tools and resources they need. I enjoy helping people grow and let go of whatever is holding them back.

Allowing them to have the freedom to express themselves and the space to do so. I do not ever want to come in and tell them how to do their practice. Loving them and guiding them is my passion, not my job.

Bachelor's in Psychology
200 hour YTC

How did you get started teaching?
I was raped and found yoga. It not only saved me physically but it did emotionally and mentally.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with various students, primarily adults. Although I am still in need for kids to begin a children's or teen program. I am really wanting to grow in that area. I would love to start a summer program or an after-school program that focus on the health and well-being of all school age children.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who can give you what you need. Whether that be the space you need to complete your practice or someone who helps you on your poses. Just be true to yourself, no matter what!
