Melissa strives to connect with her students through their practice and goals, whether those goals are in a student's physical practice or mental and spiritual, her goal is to guide them, mind and body. Through her classes, she aims to empower every student to explore themselves, touch in on their unique gifts and gain the confidence and knowledge to let the practice of yoga charge up their whole being.
Melissa has been practicing yoga since 1999, teaching since 2012. She got her 200 hour certification in 2012, 500 hour in 2013, and Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT) in 2015. Melissa got her certifications through Yoga Sutra for Life, studying under Master teacher, Ranjitha Sandeep, an internationally acclaimed Ashtanga (Raja) Yoga Therapist. Melissa continues her education through assisting Yoga Sutra for Life's wellness programs. She has also continued her studies with Sri Dharma Mittra, Meghan Currie and her work at Wanderlust Festivals.
