Yoga With Ali
About
Ali has been a lover of yoga since she was a young girl and has been teaching since receiving her 200-hr certification in early 2006. Having taught in New York, Chicago, Iowa and Nashville, she did her initial instructor certification with the Sivananda Ashram in Nassau, Bahamas. She has done further yoga education with Core Power in Chicago, prenatal training at Global Yoga in Chicago, and restorative yoga training with BlossOMing Yoga in Nashville. She has taught at various studios in Nashville including Kali Yuga Yoga, Hot Yoga East Nashville, and BlossOMing Yoga, as well as teaching yoga at Vanderbilt University since 2010. She even had the pleasure of being the yoga instructor for the Vanderbilt Women's Tennis Team! Ali grew up in Fairfield, Iowa in a school where yoga and meditation were part of the daily curriculum. She was diagnosed with severe scoliosis as a child and her yoga practice has played a major role in helping her spine and overall well-being over the years. In addition to her yoga teaching, Ali is a singer-songwriter and performs often in town as well as on tour.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Hi there, I'm so looking forward to working with you on your yoga and/or meditation practice. In taking on a new student, I usually like to connect first via phone or email to go over goals and discuss what you are looking to get out of these sessions, so that I can best meet your needs. I believe that yoga can benefit every body, so whether your goal is to work on healing from an injury, strengthening your body, improving mental health or simply feeling more "in your body", we will come up with a plan for the best approach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ALL types of students in my 16 years of teaching yoga--all ages, body types, levels of experiences, you name it. I love the challenge of finding the right style of yoga for each individual.
