My teaching approach:

I prefer private lesson style and jamming in order to gain a sense of what my student hopes to accomplish. I use a 'visualization' style that, I feel, really helps the student learn the mechanics of nuance. I like for them to set goals and be excited when they leave the lesson...not overwhelmed. I have over 14 years performance and recording experience and over 40 hours in music theory.
