
I customize my approach with each student according to capability rather than curriculum. I gravitate toward motivated students. Prior experience with a musical instrument is a great but beginners who are committed can succeed.
Like students, I'm driven and motivated by small accomplishments and seeing the lights go on. I evaluate the student's ability in the moment at each lesson and try to give the student a solid, useful skill or technique each time.
