What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with an intro lesson to get to know the student where will might learn a new song, makeup a simple melody together, learn about each other's expectations and mostly just LISTEN. Our program is holistic and comprehensive and uses the best teaching methods available, which allows us to tailor each lesson to a wide range of learning styles.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our teachers have Masters or Doctoral degrees in performance and education. We focus on hiring and training for a joyful approach to musical excellence - in other words, if you can learn in a way that fits with your personality you will excel, if you are excelling, you are likely to have fun!

Our Friendship Concert this year (where students perform with friends) was an absolute hit!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher has both a great personality and great training! You can be an advanced teacher, but turn students off from music or you can be the nicest person in the world, but not know how to build a solid foundation that will last a lifetime. A teacher who can do both is a rare and precious commodoty!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Will the teacher have a plan for my improvement while taking into account my personal learning style?
Do I have the time to devote to practice (15-60 minutes per day) to make good progress?
