About
I am a diverse and skilled lead and rhythm guitarist. I play Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Balkan music. I started my journey with Eric Clapton and George Harrison in 2004. I graduated with honors from the Contemporary Music Program at Santa Fe University of Art & Design in 2015. During my time at school, I was also exposed to Balkan, Celtic, and Middle Eastern music styles, which broadened my understanding of music and my technique.
I am a well-rounded and flexible musician. I played lead guitar in a progressive rock power trio called Get Safe for three years. I am self taught on bass, drums, and the music production platform Ableton Live. I have a deep understanding of conventional Diatonic (seven-note) Western Music Theory. I have a project that fuses jazz guitar and electronic dance music, which I've titled SOZN. I also write and record alternative rock songs on my own.
My passion for music's functionality as well as its therapeutic and experimental nature is what has drawn me to a career in music. I look forward to meeting you and passing on what I know to improve your musical skills!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess the skill level and interests of the student first and foremost. I have a curriculm so I know where to start once I know a bit about you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with honors from Santa Fe University of Art & Design's Contemporary Music Program in 2015.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are $35 for 30 mins, $43 for 45 mins, and $50 for 60 mins.
How did you get started teaching?
At first I was looking for ways to make money with my education and experience when I realized I could teach. I tried it out in 2015 after graduation and got hooked! I find it very satisfying seeing my students progress. I love everything about music (really, I do), so I love to talk about it and broaden people's understanding and appreciation of what has been called the highest form of art.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students of all ages and skill levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who loves what they do and treats you with respect.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Part of my job as a teacher is to ask questions to gauge where you're at, and answer any questions you may have. You don't need to know anything at all before coming to me!
