About this pro

My name is Jeremy Anderson. I am a 200-hour certified yoga instructor trained in ashtanga style and an NASM certified personal trainer, specializing in bodyweight and calisthenics exercises. I teach weekly yoga classes at CorePower Yoga and have been personal training private clients since 2010.

I’m a passionate advocate for connecting mind to body in exercises to facilitate in the fluidity of daily movements, and to ground oneself so that body awareness is achieved and increased. My goal is to not just help you achieve your goals, but to also empower you enough to realize that YOU are capable of attaining the changes you seek. Most of my workouts can be done with little-to-no equipment, usually only a few props and only require a small amount of clear space. If you want to get more than just stronger, and to gain functional flexibility and better body mechanics, I can assist you to your goals.

I started out as a Pre-k teacher, but decided along the way that although I loved teaching, the hours, training and homework required was taking me away from what I really loved, which was health and fitness.  I still found great joy in teaching, so instead I shifted my focus towards education in a different manner. Now I can still find that same joy and fulfillment when I work with clients to teach them something that doesn’t necessarily come naturally.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to find out first what their goals are, then what their past work out experience is like,  and then where they are physically currently by going through some assessment exercises.  I prefer that “before” photos are taken, whether by themselves or a friend/family member, so that they can easily visually track their progress.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Part of my 200 hour yoga certification involved inversion practice and it’s body mechanics. I incorporate that knowledge into workouts where simple bodyweight exercises have become to rudimentary.
