About
Initially I injured myself through yoga. My first yoga teacher training was therapeutic, after that I took 3 more yoga training course to complete over 800 hrs of training. I'm certified in Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Facial yoga and Shiva Rea dance yoga. I've trained with Sean Corn and as mentioned Shiva Rea. I've been teaching since 2004.
I enjoy the continual learning that comes with working with the body and the connection with the mind. Often times I find much of the confitions in students comes from their mental/ emotional states. I also teach meditation and dance/ movement therapy and use these tools what e working with students to help unlock holding patterns of the mind that have manifested into holding patterns of the body.

How did you get started teaching?
I injured my body with rigorous Ashtanga yoga..I wanted to keep practicing yoga and so I looked for a school that would help me learn how to stay safe in yoga. After completing my training at 7 Centers I moved to Thailand to teach. I continued my education every few years and continued to teach at Health Centers, Rehabs and Yoga Teacher training schools. I've been teaching since 2004.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've taught first time yogis, seasoned yogis, kids, seniors (chair yoga), I've worked with peoplet who are recovering from a stroke, people in rehab and I've been the main teacher at a yoga teacher training center in Thailand.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoy seeing the look on people's faces and the ease in which their body goes into a position after learning customized alignment and learning a few warm up positions.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Take a class from each teacher and see which style and teacher's personality you identify with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I like to know what a student is wanting to achieve from their yoga practice, that way I know which style of yoga will be best for their needs. also I find it good to know about any new or old injuries and also surgeries that have occurred in the student's body. And last thing I like to find out is what the common position is for their body throughout their work day. This will help me to create balance in the way that their body is held throughout their day.
