Working with Miles has been extremely rewarding in my basketball career. After training with him in person for three weeks and online from time to time, my game, knowledge, and confidence has improved immensely; especially from averaging 6ppg to 20ppg. Without the help from Miles, I wouldn’t be the player I am today, nor would I have been able to get noticed and offers from universities and colleges. Within the shorter time span we had, Miles was able to better me holistically than any other trainer I’ve trained with. His keen knowledge, expertise, support, and love for the game is like no other. Seriously, I highly recommend him to all players who are wanting to get better and willing to
    put in the work.

My son currently has basketball lessons with Coach Miles, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Coach Miles exhibits a level of professionalism and expertise that immediately put him at ease.
Throughout the lessons, Coach Miles not only helped my son improve his technical skills, but also provided invaluable insights into strategy and game tactics. His teaching style was dynamic and adaptable, catering to his individual strengths and weaknesses. I appreciated how he broke down complex plays into manageable steps, making them easier to grasp and implement during game situations.
Moreover, Coach Miles fostered a positive and inclusive learning environment, where mistakes were viewed as opportunities for growth rather than setbacks. His passion for the game is infectious, and it motivated my son to strive for excellence both on and off the court.

Miles is a true pro who is very adept at working with kids to help them through whatever situation they may be struggling with, or working through, in the moment, whether it be something related to footwork, movement, or the mental aspect of it all.

    Frequently asked questions

I assess the skill level of the athlete by administering several drills that touch on all aspects of basketball. For example, ball handling, dribbling, shooting, passing, athletic ability, footwork, IQ and mental/emotional well being. I offer a lot of encouragement throughout my session and I am not afraid to break down the barriers of being "shy" or "uncomfortable". I create a positive environment and I expect 100 percent effort

I have over 20 years of playing experience. I lettered 2 years in high school, played 4 years of collegiate basketball and 2 years as a professional in Europe. My coaching knowledge has been built over these years through experience, countless hours of game study, documentaries on players, drill/skill breakdowns, volunteer coaching for camps, paid coaching for American and international teams, etc.

My sessions are priced mainly by the session. The pricing will need to be inquired about through contacting me. I also provide prices for group sessions, team trainings, camps and league play.

I began by volunteering time to my Jr. High school while I was a Varsity player in High School. I also helped out with many camps and the annual special olympics tournament we held every year at my school.

All ages and all different backgrounds. I love diversity and getting to know people from different backgrounds. When I coached in Europe, I had the opportunity to coach a 16U Boys team with 14 players from 12 different countries.

In 2019 I coached 16U, 14U boys and 17U girls. My girls team played in the Battle of the Bayou in New Orleans, Louisiana where we took 2nd in the silver bracket and 6th overall out of 200+ teams, with only 6 girls on the roster. I have yet to coach a team with more heart, determination, and chemistry as them.

Look for a teacher who goes beyond the skills they are teaching. Someone who gets to know the student more than the student is getting to know how to do what they want to do. A teacher who is always working to get the absolute best out of the pupil.

Can I match the work ethic of my teacher?

Can I fulfill what they are expecting?

Am I committed enough to see long term results rather than a short term fix to what I lack?

All of the answers should be yes.
